  • Bring an updated list of your routine oral medications for review by our oral surgeons.

  • If you’re experiencing any illness such as a cold, sore throat, or gastrointestinal issues, please inform the office.

  • Avoid wearing lipstick, heavy makeup, or nail polish on the day of surgery.

  • Remove contact lenses, jewelry, and dentures before the surgery.

  • Dress comfortably in loose-fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up past the elbow, and wear low-heeled shoes.

  • Refrain from driving a vehicle or operating machinery for 24 hours following anesthesia.

  • Ensure that a responsible adult accompanies you to the office, remains present during the procedure, and is available to drive you home afterward.

  • Avoid smoking for at least 12 hours before the surgery. It’s preferable to reduce or halt smoking as early as possible before the day of surgery.
